Nawzad Ghafoor Karim

Nawzad Ghafoor Karim is the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slemani, bringing nearly four decades of business leadership, investment, and institutional guidance to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He also serves as Vice President of both the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region.

Throughout his private-sector career, Mr. Karim has founded and managed diverse commercial enterprises spanning general trading, contracting, logistics, real estate, agriculture, and manufacturing. Since 1999, he has owned Rozhan Company for General Trading, Contracting, and Transportation L.L.C—which provides Customs Declaration System services for the Ministry of Finance—as well as Dubai-based Amadin General Trading L.L.C. His commercial leadership includes owning Sedar Mobylia since 2004 and executing infrastructure and development projects alongside international organizations such as the WHO, UNICEF, and UN-Habitat.

A prominent advocate for regional economic integration, Mr. Karim has served on the Iraqi Negotiation Committee working toward World Trade Organization (WTO) accession since 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
