Job Opportunity: Armath Trainers
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Armath Trainers to deliver hands-on learning in programming, robotics, 3D modelling, and digital fabrication for young people. Trainers will lead their own labs, mentor students in developing practical projects, and help create an engaging and productive learning environment.
About the Role
As an Armath Trainer, you will lead your own lab and introduce students to engineering, programming, robotics, and digital fabrication through practical, project-based learning. You will mentor students as they progress from foundational technical skills to developing original and competition-ready projects.
The position involves approximately 6 hours of teaching per week, spread across 2–3 sessions, alongside responsibility for mentoring students, managing the lab environment, and contributing to the wider Armath community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver classes in computer programming, robotics, 3D modelling, and the operation of 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser equipment using Armath's project-based curriculum.
- Adapt teaching approaches to students' individual learning needs and abilities.
- Mentor students in developing original, practical projects.
- Track and report lab progress and achievements.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a productive learning environment.
- Support students' participation in Armath competitions, technology camps, and exhibitions.
- Represent the lab within the wider Armath community and contribute to programme development.
- Keep up to date with relevant technologies, tools, and techniques.
Qualifications and Preferred Background
Applicants should:
- Be 20 years of age or older.
- Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree or vocational qualification in IT or a related field.
- Have basic knowledge of electronics.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling is an advantage.
- Previous experience in IT, teaching, 2D game development, or Linux is advantageous but not required.
