Liina Vahtras is the Managing Director of Estonian e-Residency, a government-issued digital identity which gives global entrepreneurs remote access to the world’s most digital country. Liina has extensive experience in strategic communication, e-governance and technology sector startups. She brings a wealth of experience from the public and private sectors, emphasising information and financial technology. She is committed to driving innovation and fostering digital transformation to benefit businesses and society.
Vahtras holds a master’s in e-Governance Technologies and Services from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). Her career spans both public
and private sectors, including roles in prominent Estonian tech companies. She developed growth strategies at Pipedrive, a customer relationship management software firm, and Tuum, a fintech company offering modular core banking platforms. She led the marketing and communications team at Nortal (the Baltics’ largest software development company) and managed public relations for the Estonian Reform Party. She has also served as an advisor to two Estonian Prime Ministers, Taavi Rõivas (2015-2016) and Andrus Ansip (2007–2010).
Beyond her professional endeavours, Vahtras is a mother of four and keenly interested in technology, design, fitness, and literature.
